What we're looking for

We're looking for our first marketing hire, to establish and lead our product marketing, content, and positioning strategy.

As our first marketing hire, you will be part Canonic founding team and will have a significant impact on product and market strategy reporting directly to the CEO. You will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams and will have the opportunity to define our marketing function from scratch.

What you'll do

  • You will own positioning, messaging, brand identity, content, and collateral
  • You will work closely with the CEO and Product leaders on customer interactions and early growth to better understand clients and their drivers
  • You will support sales efforts with relevant case studies, battle cards, briefs, slideware, and compelling collateral
  • As our first marketing hire you will also:
  • Manage product launches, announcements, media briefs, and PR.
  • Run message/market-fit experiments through segmented/targeted outreach and engagement campaigns.
  • Support marketing field operations (e.g. industry and customer events) until a dedicated hire is onboarded.

Ideal Candidate

  • You have 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B, Growth, and/or Product Leadership preferably in enterprise/IT infrastructure and/or Security
  • Demonstrated track record leading positioning, sales enablement, and content marketing efforts
  • You're a natural storyteller: you obsess over narrative, clearly articulating complexity in an approachable and yet memorable way
  • You're comfortable catering to different market segments
  • You thrive on data, obsess over numbers, and aspire to make data-driven decisions but are never afraid to follow your gut
  • You get your hands dirty and get stuff out the door. You prioritize ruthlessly and project-manage effectively. You collaborate & communicate across multiple teams, time zones & cultures. You appreciate uncertainty and doubt and are able to make quick decisions based on a limited amount of supporting data, with unlimited upside and/or consequences :)


  • Past startup experience or a natural affection towards small exceptionally agile teams
  • Past product-led growth GTM experience
  • Track record driving acquisition, retention, and engagement campaigns
  • Field marketing operations experience
